AZBHR will be Waddling in the 2017 Phoenix St. Patrick's Day Parade
March 11, 2017
More Information will be coming soon.
Location: Parade runs from 3rd St. South from Sheridan to Moreland
Parade Day Registration: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Bring your pledge sheets, pledges and how much you raised on your Firstgiving website to the registration area. Registration area will be announced closer to the date.
Each hound (and sibling) must raise a minimum of $25 to waddle and foster dogs are free. Our goal is $30,000! Even if you cannot attend the Waddle, the hounds would love if you could collect money for Arizona Basset Hound Rescue!
Waddle Grand Marshal
The Waddle Grand Marshal is the hound that raises the most overall money including self donations. The Grand Marshal will receive a one of a kind AZBHR Parada del Sol figurine and recognition during the parade.
Waddle King and Queen
Awarded to the top male and female hound fundraisers. Each will receive a very special one of a kind AZBHR Parada del Sol figurine and recognition during the parade. Self donations do not count toward King and Queen.
The next top 3 fundraisers will also be recognized. So get out there and start raising some money!
The Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Parade began in 1984. It’s purpose is to preserve and enhance the heritage and traditions of the Irish Culture as well as share that culture with the citizens of Arizona. The Parade has marching bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipers, police and fire vehicles, government dignitaries, floats, and a whole lot more.
*Keep in mind that the most money is based not on individual donations but the money you raise from the pledge sheets and your Firstgiving page.

If you think your Basset may get tired halfway through, consider bringing a wagon with you to pull him/her the rest of the way. The parade committee has asked that we keep pace with the rest of the parade so please plan accordingly. Pooped pup pick-up trucks will not be available because this is a non-motorized parade and vehicles aren't allowed.
Note: All dogs must be current on shots and be on a leash (non-retractableleads not recommended) at all times. We recommend no more than one dog per walker. Water will be available in the staging area. Dress comfortably based on the weather.
