Mark your calendars and polish up your boots! AZBHR is going to "cowboy up"!
February 9th, 2013

Location: Parade Starts at Scottsdale and Oak, just north of McDowell and ends at Scottsdale and Indian School Road.
We are excited to announce that AZBHR has been accepted to waddle in the Parada del Sol Parade - Scottsdale AZ
Help AZBHR make the Parada del Sol Parade Waddle 2013 the best fundraising Waddle ever!
Our goal is to raise $30,000 for the hounds and only you can help us do that! All the Basset Hounds and Bloodhounds with their humans will raise money to waddle in the parade via pledge sheet and by setting up their own fundraising website. Registration: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Bring your pledge sheets, pledges and how much you raised on your Firstgiving website to the registration area.

Fundraising Details
Each hound must raise a minimum of $25 to waddle and foster dogs are free. Our goal is $30,000! Even if you cannot attend the Waddle, the hounds would love if you could collect money for Arizona Basset Hound Rescue!

Can't Waddle in the parade? You can still help AZBHR raise money - pick your favorite hound and donate to their page or help by setting up a fundraising page in your hounds name or use a pledge sheet and raise money for the hounds!
Once you have set up your fundraising page start sharing via email, Facebook, share with family and friends so your hound can be King or Queen!
Registration is $25 per hound or at least $25 in pledges. We will promote the Firstgiving link on AZBHR Facebook and HTML emails and ask our supporters to pick a favorite hound or hounds to donate to.
TO ALL FOSTER HOMES - Bring your foster dogs - they waddle free! Please consider setting up Firstgiving pages - Tell the dog's story, how they came to the rescue and that they are a foster looking for a forever home. This is a great opportunity to get them exposure and fundraise at the same time.
We will need many volunteers

More details to follow and all the information will be available on the website soon.
Pooped pup pick-up trucks will not be available because this is a non-motorized parade and vehicles aren't allowed.

If you think your Basset may get tired halfway through, consider bringing a wagon with you to pull him/her the rest of the way. The parade committee has asked that we keep pace with the rest of the parade so please plan accordingly. Pooped pup pick-up trucks will not be available because this is a non-motorized parade and vehicles aren't allowed.
Note: All dogs must be current on shots and be on a leash (non-retractableleads not recommended) at all times. We recommend no more than one dog per walker. Water will be available in the staging area and at the park. Dress comfortably based on the weather.
