We are excited to announce that AZBHR will be Waddling in the 2017 Phoenix St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Help AZBHR make the 2017 Waddle O' the Green the best fundraising Waddle ever!
Our goal is to raise $30,000 for the hounds and only you can help us do that!   All the Basset Hounds and Bloodhounds with their humans will raise money to waddle in the parade via pledge sheet and by setting up their own fundraising website.

 Fundraising Details

Each hound (and sibling) must raise a minimum of $25 to waddle and foster dogs are free.  Our goal is $30,000!  Even if you cannot attend the Waddle, the hounds would love if you could collect money for Arizona Basset Hound Rescue!

Set up your First Giving Fundraising Page now.  Fundraising Pages make it easier to advertise your fundraising efforts through emails and Facebook.  It allows people to donate by credit card.

TO ALL FOSTER HOMES - Bring your foster dogs - they waddle free! Please consider setting up Firstgiving pages - Tell the dog's story, how they came to the rescue and that they are a foster looking for a forever home. This is a great opportunity to get them exposure and fundraise at the same time.

About Phoenix St. Patrick's Day Parade

The Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Parade began in 1984. It’s purpose is to preserve and enhance the heritage and traditions of the Irish Culture as well as share that culture with the citizens of Arizona. The Parade has marching bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipers, police and fire vehicles, government dignitaries, floats, and a whole lot more.

The race for Grand Marshal, Waddle King and Queen is on!
Don't forget to set up your firstgiving page! Go to www.azbassetrescue.org

for all the details.
VOLUNTEERS still needed!

If you think your Basset may get tired halfway through, consider bringing a wagon with you to pull him/her the rest of the way.  The parade committee has asked that we keep pace with the rest of the parade so please plan accordingly.

Note:  All dogs must be current on shots and be on a leash at all times (retractable leads not recommended).  We recommend no more than one dog per walker.  Water will be available in the staging area.  Dress comfortably based on the weather.
